Property owners and managers may be surprised to learn that 90% of the roofs in California reach peak summer temperatures of 150 to 190 degrees. The benefits of Cool Roofing are so significant that SMUD, PG&E and other utility companies offer cash rebates to property owners that install Cool Roofing on approved buildings. The program isn’t available in all areas and the roof must be installed by an approved Cool Roof contractor.
